Cavi di Lavagna - or simply Cavi - is a hamlet of Lavagna that rises in the center of the Gulf of Tigullio and is one of the seaside resorts most famous of the Liguria Coast.
Cavi is situated on the coast of the gulf of Tigullio between Lavagna and Sestri Levante; originally it was an historical small village of fishermen, but today it has become an important touristic locality. The coast is typically low and sandy, and there is along it the wondeful seaside promenade.
In the territory of the hamlet there are some interesting buildings: the church of Immacolata Concezione, constructed in 1757 and decorated with splendid marbles, the new church of Gesù Risorto, constructed between the Eighties and the Nineties and consecrated in the year 2000, and in the locality of Barassi, the church dedicated to the Apostle Peter.
